Online / Hybrid REFORMER TEACHER TRAINING (REF)

Pilates Associates ProPath™ Reformer Teacher Training Program provides clear, practical training focused on teaching Pilates on the Reformer. Students learn both classical and modern approaches while building a strong understanding of safe movement, effective programming, and confident instruction.

​

The program prepares students to teach Fundamental through Advanced Reformer sessions for private clients and group classes. Each student receives a FREE Reformer, allowing them to fully participate in the hybrid training, practice at home, and learn on a schedule that fits their life. This certification can stand on its own or serve as a next step toward Comprehensive training.​

SUGGESTED PREREQUISITES

• College Level Anatomy, Biomechanics, Posture Assessment

• 15 hrs Pilates Mat Experience + 15 hrs Pilates Reformer Experience

 

Though anatomy, biomechanics, and posture assessment will be discussed and reviewed throughout the course, if you do not meet this prerequisite, plan to spend additional time studying. The same is true for Pilates Mat and Reformer experience.

Required Observation, Practical, Personal Review

Candidates for certification must complete the following:

 

1. All Online coursework and meetings (History review, repertoire, teaching/cueing, special populations & contraindications)

2. 30hrs Observation (10 hours may be approved pre-recorded instruction)

3. 30hrs Personal Review/Practice

4. 30hrs Pilates Reformer Classes and/or Privates Sessions with a qualified Pilates Teacher Trainer
       o Private training is not included but discounts apply ($55 Private Training sessions are available for students for 6-months from training start date)

5. 20hrs Solo Student Teaching/Practice Teaching (group classes & private training on the Reformer, min 2 different clients)

6. 2hr practical & 1hr written exam

• Limited opportunities for unpaid apprenticeship may be available at the training center.
